Before the new year, I made the resolution to try and retain my hair length by doing more protective styles this year amongst other things. I started about a week early and had my first protective style put in on Christmas eve. It's been three weeks and I'm planning on removing the extensions in another three. So far, I'm really enjoying it. I figured I'd share a few photos of what I'm currently rocking.

I'm loving the speed in which I get ready in the mornings and the style really saved my fro from my lazy holiday hands. The length is ideal as it's gotten scorching hot in Jozi and it's conveniently tangle free. I'm not going to lie, I'm getting my familiar three week itch. Especially when I'm doing research into some length retention practices for my own hair and I see other naturals photos. I just have to be patient, I know it's ok under there :)
